Overview

This article provides a recommended implementation strategy for a Pathways Learning rollout within an after-school program.


Recommended Implementation

  1. Set classrooms up by grade-level. 
    • Why do we recommend this? As students are easily organized by grade, this will ensure that you can quickly manage and assign student tasks. 
    • Action: Learn how to add classrooms. 
  2. Assign students a grade-level pre-built Learning Path and enable placement mode.
    • Why do we recommend this? This will ensure that students can get started immediately and only work on concepts they don't know!
    • Action: Learn about Placement mode
  3. Monitor students as they progress through the Learning Paths and assign improvement assignments as needed.
    • Why do we recommend this? Reviewing the Scaffolding and Intervention Monitors periodically will allow you to ensure that no concept is left behind.
    • Action: Learn about Scaffolding and Intervention. 
  4. Set up rewards and encourage students to achieve their goals!
    • Why do we recommend this? This motivates students to achieve their goals and helps them own their progress.
    • Action: Learn about rewards and goals
