“This is year one for us. I think it will help prepare students for more MAP related test questions. It helps them become more familiar with MAP test vocabulary that maybe is not taught in the reading or math curriculum that we use as a district.”
How She's Using Pathways Learning
I use it in my small group rotations at the independent time. During reading block students are working on Targeted Practice assignments and/or spelling. During math block students work on Targeted Practice assignments. If they get those completed before I get a chance to review or assign new, their MAP pathway is always there for them to work on for more of a "challenge." We have our goal set for 50 ELA questions and 50 Math questions a week. I have students who are very motivated. When they reach their 50 questions, they get to write their student # on the classroom WOW! board. VERY motivating for some :)

How She's Using Pathways Learning
I use Pathways Learning to reinforce the standards that I just taught. I use the learning path to help students be prepared for their MAP tests. My students are working hard to get their weekly goals. They are making big improvements on their spiral review checks in math.
“My students are motivated to be the top class in our district and to get our district on the leaderboard as well. They are very competitive!”
